From the heart of Guatemala to the forefront of the global mining industry, my journey has been a testament to resilience, dedication, and unyielding passion. As a young girl, I never envisioned that my path would lead me to become a driving force in both the mining sector and the empowerment of women. Yet, here I stand, a proud environmental consultant and a champion for change.
My Voyage Began..
with a burning curiosity for the world around me, leading me to study natural resource management in Germany and a master in environmental water management in England. Armed with knowledge and determination, I embarked on a career that would span continents and cultures. At CTA Environmental Consultants, my family company, I not only grew professionally but also found a deeper connection to my roots. With offices in Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and Chile, CTA became a platform for my passion to thrive and flourish.
But my impact extended beyond the corporate realm. Founding Women in Mining Central America, I ignited a movement to empower women in a traditionally male-dominated industry. As a non-executive director of Royal Road Minerals and President of A2J Minerals, I worked tirelessly to shape the future of mining, leveraging my skills to unearth potential and drive growth.
Yet, my journey isn’t just about accolades. It’s about creating a legacy of empowerment, education, and progress. As a single mother, my drive to provide a better future for my son fuels my every endeavor. Through challenges and triumphs, I’ve come to believe that every setback is a setup for a greater comeback, a testament to the grace and guidance of God.
